A costume design project created for a group of experimental musicians presenting a research-based performance at Sonar+D, exploring how music might be experienced and performed in zero gravity. The costumes were designed and handcrafted to reflect the individuality of each artist while responding to broader ideas of movement, weight and the relationship between the body and its environment. Through experimental materials, manual processes and sculptural forms, the project became a reflection on gravity, the Earth and the possibility of existing beyond its physical limits.
